Port Erin Lifeboat Day
Port Erin was buzzing on Sunday 15th August as the crew from the local lifeboat station held it’s annual Lifeboat Day. Large crowds enjoyed the glorious sunshine and all the activities that had been laid on, including raft races, Manx dancing, Waterzorbs, go karts, bouncy castles, model boats, planes, and classic cars.
The band played a mixture of light entertaining pieces of music on the quarterdeck (just opposite the Bridge Bookshop for those who know Port Erin) from 2.15 for about an hour and half. These included favourites such as:-
