The annual dinner and prize presentation for 2015 was held at Palace Hotel, Douglas on Saturday 21st November. The majority of band members were present and the gathering included the Band President, Edwin Cubbon, Band Patron Noel Cringle and Mr Jim Crebbin from Rushen Silver Band. Friends and supporters were also present.
At St Catherine's Church on Thursday the band wished Ian Astill well on his next adventure. Sadly for the band it means him leaving the island to continue his educational studies as he does his PGCE at Bangor University.
Congratulations from all at Castletown Band goes to Jim Crebbin who was awarded a British Empire Medal in the Queen's Birthday Honours recently.
