We had a great concert on Tuesday 28th July playing to a packed Villa Marina Arcade, part of the summer season of concerts in that venue.

In the absence of our usual compere, Willie Kneale, the night was compered by our MD John Collings, who as well as introducing the peices tried to compete with Willie on the jokes front.

Amongst the pieces we also had a number of musical features, including the cornet solo Solitaire played by Rhianne Charnley, cornet trio (played on pocket trumpets) Bugler's Holiday, a tenor horn duet by Malcolm Black and Pam Parkinson, and a surreal performance by our trombones of The Bold Gendarmes complete with authentic looking police helmets!

Other music included music from the films Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Disney's An American Tail (Somewhere Out There), and finished of withe a great new march composed by our very own Ian Astill, Rushen Castle.

We've managed to get videos of some of the features which can be found here.
